Bread Making at the Historic Newrybar Bakery

Our good friends at Harvest Cafe and Deli in Newrybar have teamed up with Kate Walsh from Real Food Projects for weekly cooking classes. This week some of the team from Victoria’s are heading along to the old historic Newrybar bakery, to learn more about the art of bread making. Kate, in collaboration with Jean Martinez, an artisan baker from Wholefoods Cooking School, will talk us through fermentation, different types of flours, yeasts, kneading and proving, then show us how to bake magnificent sourdough and bread loaves. We’re looking forward to an interesting and fun afternoon, and of course some serious carb tasting, can’t wait.
