Byron Bay Writers Festival, 7-9 August 2015

The Splendour crowds have migrated back to the city and Byron Bay is once again becoming the peaceful coastal town that holiday-makers dream of. The fun doesn’t stop for long however, as the annual Byron Bay Writers Festival is approaching next weekend. Whether you read novels, newspapers or simply love a good political debate, the Byron Bay Writers Festival has something to offer for everyone.

This year’s guest list is impressive, with writers and academics from around the country and abroad. Lefties will love the line up on Saturday, which includes former Prime Minister Julia Gillard and her faithful wingman Wayne Swan; whereas Barrie Cassidy on the Friday will keep the balance and appease those who are more inclined to the right. If politics isn’t your thing there are many more much-loved Australians to feed your interests and keep you inspired, such as environmentalist Tim Costello or surf journalist Sean Doherty.

The Byron Bay Writers Festival is a great excuse to have a weekend away in beautiful Byron Bay, where you can escape the city yet still keep your brain ticking with this thought-provoking festival. There’s no better place to stay than our country-side retreat of  Victoria’s At Ewingsdale, which is only a five minute drive from the festival grounds.

Our country styled guest house is the perfect accommodation to return to after a day of reading and rhetoric, with our open wood fire and luxury suites that will allow you relax and enjoy the hinterland of Byron Bay.

The annual Byron Bay Writers Festival is only a few days away, and Victoria’s Byron Bay is booking up fast with literary lovers and book worms. For bookings and further information call our reservation team today on 02 6684 7047 or check availability and book online here
