Victorias at Byron Bay is letting you in on a little industry secret….
The Northern Rivers is rumoured to soon be rebranded as The Green Coast. This covers Tweed Heads to Yamba and has been created so that tourists are able to easily distinguish the Northern Rivers and surrounding areas from places like the Gold Coast and the Central Coast. This has come about after a survey found that 60% of people surveyed had no idea where the northern rivers was and what area it covered.

The Green Coast brand is very appropriate for this area as we are surrounded by such lush green scenery and are very cautious of our impact on the environment. The plan is to allow tourists at Coolangatta the option of turning left into the Gold Coast or Right to the Green Coast. This area will be the hub for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and also promotes Australia’s national colours.

So, if you are from Byron Bay or have a trip planned to Byron Bay make sure you use the #greencoast to promote this area, boast about your holiday destination or your hometown.
